Book: The Extra Ordinary Sheep

A sheep who happily breaks rank.
A row of little black birds lines up along a wire against a soft morning-blue sky, and right there in the middle perches one who plainly does not match: a round, woolly sheep with a cloud for a body and the happiest smile on the wire. A tiny sun climbs out of gentle blue waves below. You can already feel where this one is going, and that's the comfort of it. The title even winks at you, slipping a little caret-tucked word in to turn "ordinary" into something far better.

It's a read-aloud for the kiddo who feels a touch different from the flock, and for the grown-up who wants to whisper that different is the whole point. Sweet, funny, and just the right size for small hands to carry from shelf to lap and back again.
